Not keeping up on my blog
Written by jzh898 on March 6, 2009 – 2:01 pm -Holy crap am I lazy! It has been quite a while since I last posted. I could make up some excuse but that will not accomplish anything.
I have been sticking with the 52DC and posting daily. My push-ups are coming along, I am on pace to destroy my goal. I would set it higher but I want to be able to focus on my other goals and get them marked off. I have been having great results with my bench press, I am up to 235lbs, started at 185lbs. I used to bench like 215 when I was working out years ago. I figure the increase is do to my hard work the past couple of months. I gave squatts a try and my knee just doesn’t like them so I will start doing body weight squats.
So far I am satisfied with my progress and will continue to keep at it. The end results is all the motivation I need.

Day 13-52DC
Written by jzh898 on February 24, 2009 – 9:06 am -Well I’ve been slacking on my blog but not on my workouts. Been really feeling good about the work I have put in. My push-ups are coming along nicely as are my other goals. CE’s are still tough to keep on track but I am working hard at them and winning the battle. TNT Man has been great motivation for me, he keeps me encourage with his comments. Thanks TNT Man!!
Works has been picking up so I have to start managing my time better. The new web store will be up in middle of March, looking forward to being busy. The site has been a lot more stressful for me than I anticipated but I am up for the challenge. The best part is I don’t have anyone breathing down my neck to get things done. Well better get back to work

Day 7 52DC
Written by jzh898 on February 17, 2009 – 7:31 pm -Had another great workout today. I am getting board with the recumbant bike so I think I will switch to the eliptical. Weights are still fun so that’s a good thing. Push-ups are becoming easier for me I can do 15 in a row so that feels great. I have a mini challenge for myself to do 40 push-ups in a row by the end of the challenge. Still taking everything one day at a time. Tomorrow is weigh in day so I will see where I am at. Feeling stronger.

Great Workout
Written by jzh898 on February 16, 2009 – 7:53 pm -I had one of my best workouts today. I felt really energized and put in a little extra. I can feel my body getting stronger and my clothes seem to be fitting better. I am getting closer to my goal of 36 jeans which is right around where i was 6 years ago. I am going to get started on a few other goals since I feel I have my workout and cardio in line.
Work is getting more hectic, finally picking up and getting busy. It will be really busy in a month when I get the web site up and going. I will find time to fit my workout into my schedule and continue to work on my clean eating.

Day 1 of 52DC
Written by jzh898 on February 11, 2009 – 8:47 pm -Well I started off on the right path for day one of the challenge. I ate clean all day and got my workout and cardio in. I feel so much more focused with having a challenge and looking for the hard work it will take. I can’t wait to see my end results and everyone else. Keep it up!

Squats
Written by jzh898 on February 10, 2009 – 8:53 pm -Well I started adding squats to my routine and boy are my legs sore. I forgot how much they work out my muscles. The end reward will be worth it. Well the 52DC starts tomorrow and I am ready to go, it will be a tough challenge but in the end it will pay off.

Winter 52 DC

I feel I have set some Pretty Tough goals but I am motivated by a challenge. I will be taking my measurements on Wed. Feb. 11 so I can monitor my progress. i will also be weighing myself every Wednesday. Thanks for the support.

Good Workout
Written by jzh898 on February 9, 2009 – 8:22 pm -Well I had one of my better workouts today. I really focused on HIIT cardio and felt energize after I was done, then I hit the weights and felt encouraged by my progress. My body feels good and I look forward to hitting the gym again tomorrow (legs). I need to add some squats to my routine but worried my knee will pop out.
Little history on the knee. Had reconstructive surgery back in 2000 and had to have the miniscu removed and acl repaired. About 3 years after that it started popping out just walking around and has been a problem ever since. I would get it looked at but I have no insurance so I have to weight. I don’t think the doctor really did the best job he could. I will give some squats a try and see what happens (light weight, work on form).
I needed a good workout after busy day at work (getting the website up and running) so mission accomplished. Getting ramped up for the challenge and see what happens.

Getting ready for the 52DC

Goals:
CE: 85
RE: 22 Changed to 28
CE: 22
PG1: Lose 15 lbs
PG2: Complete 400 total push-ups
PG3: Read 1 book completely for enjoyment
PG4: Fit into size 36 jeans
I am ready to go and I haven’t been this motivated for quite some time. I really feel this will help me stay on pace to get down to 220lbs. So far I am down to 269lbs (lost 11 pounds so far). The best way for me to accomplish this is always remember “One Day at a Time”.
